Important Employment Law Update for 2021

Sonoma County Executives Association member Susan Daniel, of Employee Relations Consultants,  presented an important employment law update at our meeting on December 16, 2020. The information she presented is especially important for businesses with 5 or more employees and includes 2021 updates on the following regulations:

  • Families First Corona Virus Relief Act (FFCRA)
  • AB 5 – Limitations on independent contractors
  • 2021 changes to minimum wage in Sonoma County
  • SB 1384 – Wage claims/arbitration
  • AB 12 81 – California Consumer Privacy Act
  • AB 2992 – Crime Victims
  • AB 1947 – Extension of Time for Labor Code Complaints
  • AB 1383 – Expansion of the California Family Rights Act (CFRA)
  • AB 1867- Small Employer Pilot Program
  • AB 685 – Covid Reporting Obligations
  • COVID-19 Protection Plan required by Cal-OSHA
